Seller Agreement:
By reserving a rack with The Find Preloved, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms may be amended at any time at our discretion.
Rack Reservation:
Rack reservations are booked & paid for online via The Find Preloved website or in-store via the POS system and eftpos terminal.
- Rack rentals are either 2 weeks (10 days) or 4 weeks (20 days) long.
- A full rack or half rack can be reserved.
- Current cost by rack size and duration:
2 weeks - Half rack - $130
2 weeks - Full rack - $190
4 weeks - Half rack - $221
4 weeks - Full rack - $323
- 30% commission will be taken from every item that is listed as sold by The Find Preloved, the seller will take the remaining 70% as profit.
- At the start of their rack reservation, the seller must provide 40 pieces of clothing and can provide 10 accessories to rent a full rack and 20 pieces of clothing and can provide 5 accessories for a half rack. Accessories include: shoes, sunglasses, hats, bags, belts and scarfs.
- If you are selling bulky items (jumpers, hoodies, coats etc.) this may reduce the amount of clothing you can fit on your rack comfortably. Overcrowding may make it more difficult for customers to shop your rack and hinder your overall rack sales performance.
- As reserves, the seller is encouraged to provide an additional 10 garments for a full rack and 5 garments for a half rack. These items will be kept aside.
- Throughout the rack reservation, The Find Preloved team will monitor your rack and if need be top-up your rack along the way with items provided as reserves at the beginning of your rack rental. If your reserves become low, The Find - Preloved team may be in touch to offer you the opportunity to provide further items for your reserves. In this case, the seller must create a new product sheet for the reserve top up items before dropping off items to store within store opening hours.
- Reserve top-up items will not be steamed, therefore please ensure you iron & fold your reserve top up items neatly when you provide them.
- The seller must create their Product Sheets in their Zellr account before dropping off items to store. The seller is strongly encouraged to use this guide when typing out their labels to ensure their labels are clear: “brand, item type, main colour, size & price”. Login details for Zellr account are sent at the time of payment & may be in the seller’s spam folder.
- The seller must drop off their items for sale at least 3 days before their rack reservation starts, during shop opening hours, but no earlier than 5 days prior. As racks start on a Tuesday, drop off must be between 10am - 4pm (open hours) the Thursday, Friday or Saturday prior to start date.
- The seller must drop their items for sale in a bag without hangers & this will be returned to the seller at the end of the rack rental. Suitcases and tubs cannot be stored at The Find Preloved premises.
- As part of the rack rental fee The Find Preloved will hang your items on our hangers, print your completed labels, tag your items, steam anything that requires it, showcase part of your rack on our social media & pack down your rack.
- The Find Preloved reserves the right to use photos and videos of your items for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels.
- Items may be sold in-store, online, or via our social media platforms.
- All items displayed on your rack in-store must stay exclusively at The Find Preloved until the end of your rental period and during this time cannot be sold on other platforms.
- Sales days are calculated based on the store’s open days; any public holidays or closures do not reduce the sales period.
- To extend your rack rental, get in touch with us in advance to confirm availability and pricing.
Missed Drop Off:
- The seller must have all of their items for sale dropped into the shop 3 days before their rack reservation start date, during shop opening hours, & product sheets/labels completed.
- If the seller fails to drop their items into the shop by Saturday 4pm the week before their rack starts, an inconvenience fee of $40 may be deducted from the seller’s sales before their payout occurs, at the discretion of The Find Preloved.
- If the seller fails to drop off by Saturday 4pm the week before their rack starts, the seller will be provided with an alternate time/day to drop their clothes into the shop before their rack starts.
- Should the seller again not drop off their items for sale in that alternate time/day provided they will again be charged a second inconvenience fee of $40 at the discretion of The Find Preloved. If this does occur & The Find Preloved has not heard from the seller by 5pm Tuesday the week their rack commences, The Find Preloved has the right to cancel the booking with no refund paid to the seller & give the rack to another seller.
Quality Standards and Forbidden Items:
- We accept only clothing and accessories that are clean, undamaged, and in excellent condition. Any items provided that do not meet these standards will not be displayed or removed from the rack and stored for collection. The Find Preloved is not obligated to notify the seller these items have not been put out for sale. This ensures that every piece customers find at The Find Preloved meets our highest standards.
Forbidden items for resale
- Businesses wanting to sell their clothing
- Jewellery (including watches)
- Socks
- Underwear
- It is strictly prohibited to sell items that do not belong to you or that are stolen. Sellers must ensure they have the legal right to sell all items, and counterfeit products are not permitted (suspected or confirmed). Any violations, including theft, will be reported to the authorities.
- If the seller wishes to sell activewear and pyjamas these items must be unworn with tags or they will not be put out for sale
Sales and Earnings:
We cannot guarantee the sale of your items or the amount of money you may earn, as this depends on several factors, including demand, price, condition, age, and seasonality. We do, however, make every effort to promote your items, providing excellent in-store service and showcasing your rack and selected items on our website and social media where possible.
Charges and Payouts:
- Details of our rack rental fees and commission rates are available on our website and may be updated periodically. Rental fees must be paid at the time of booking and are non-refundable. We only accept online or card payments; cash is not accepted.
- All sales payouts are paid within 14 days (if not sooner) after the rack booking has finished & this payment will be one lump sum of all the sales, minus 30% commission & any inconvenience fees incurred. Payouts can only be made by bank transfer, no cash payments.
- It is the seller’s responsibility to enter in their bank details (BSB & Account Number) into their Zellr account (this can only be done via the browser site, not app)
- It is the seller’s responsibility to ensure they have entered the correct banking details into their Zellr account
- Should the seller enter their bank details incorrectly into their Zellr account & the payout is made to the incorrect account, it is not the responsibility of The Find Preloved to recover the funds & then pay them out into the correct account, should the funds not bounce back.
Maximising Your Rack Performance:
- Items that sell best are on trend or timeless pieces purchased in the last 3 years.
- The seller is encouraged to only resell items for the upcoming and current season.
- If there is a surplus of shoes/accessories The Find Preloved reserves the right to not put out all of your accessories until room becomes available (prioritising most on trend/in best condition shoes/accessories first)
- The Find Preloved team staff will steam any clothing that requires it & this will only be done once, prior to the seller’s rack starting. Sellers are strongly encouraged to iron & neatly fold their clothing for sale to ensure their rack looks neat.
- The Find Preloved team will feature a highlight of your clothing the first week your rack starts, once on social media. It is at the discretion of The Find Preloved team whether they feature more of your rack during the rental period on social media. Sellers are encouraged to promote their rack on their own social media.
- If the seller is reselling luxury designer clothing, accessories/shoes, they are strongly encouraged to provide authentication - receipt, dust bag and box. If authentication is not provided, a $30 authentication fee will apply to facilitate authentication, the cost to do so invoiced to the seller.
Theft, Damage and Misplaced Items:
- The Find Preloved team will take great care in handling the seller’s items for sale, including tagging, hanging & steaming. we take no responsibility for any damage caused during this process or incurred by a customer.
- While we take every care to protect your items, The Find Preloved Boutique cannot be held responsible for any damage, loss, theft, fire, water damage, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- While rare, theft or loss can occasionally occur, as it does in most retail environments. In such cases, The Find Preloved Boutique cannot accept liability and is unable to provide compensation.
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will endeavour to take care in packing down your rack & ensure all of your unsold items are returned to you, we take no responsibility for misplaced unsold items.
- The Find Preloved is not financially liable to repay the seller for any missing or damaged items they provided for sale.
Renting a rack with others:
- The seller will only be provided with one Zellr account, they must provide the log in details to their friend(s).
- Only 1 payment method can be used to pay for the rack rental.
- The payout of sales can only be made into one account. Equal division of the sales payout this is not the responsibility of The Find Preloved and is the responsibility of the sellers involved.
Collecting your unsold items:
- The seller must collect their unsold items from The Find Preloved premises the day after rack end date between 4-5pm on Sunday or between 4-5pm on Monday (two days after rack end date), If uncollected within 3 days of the end date of their rack reservation, a $20 per day storage charge will apply, either deducted from your payout or invoiced to you.
- If not collected within 7 days of rack reservation end date, items will become the property of The Find Preloved Boutique and will be disposed of at our discretion.
Human Error:
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will take every care to ensure all unsold items are returned to the correct seller, The Find Preloved takes no responsibility for misplaced or missing items
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will take great care in ensuring the bags the seller provides their items for sale are not damaged & returned to the correct seller, The Find Preloved team takes no responsibility for misplaced or damaged bags etc.
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will take great care in steaming any items for sale that require it, The Find Preloved takes no responsibility if an item is damaged from steaming. Additionally, our steamer is not industrial strength (we are not a dry cleaner), please do not rely on our steamer to clean your clothing & remove deep creases/wrinkles. It is strongly recommended you iron & fold your clothes neatly prior to sale. We will do our best to steam any items that require - it on your rack, but we take no responsibility if an item(s) is missed.
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will take great care in marking down the seller’s clothing/shoes/accessories, The Find Preloved takes no responsibility if an item is incorrectly sold at the wrong marked down price.
- Whilst The Find Preloved team will take great care in labelling the correct items for sale with the correct label, The Find Preloved takes no responsibility if an item is mislabelled & sold at a cheaper price than intended by the seller.
Respectful Conduct:
We value a positive and respectful environment for all our team members and customers. Any seller displaying disrespectful behavior towards others will have their rack rental terminated immediately, regardless of the booking duration, with no refund provided.
Agreement
By booking with The Find Preloved Boutique, you acknowledge and agree to our terms and conditions. Please note that these terms may be updated or amended at our discretion.
